Could a woman have won the Presidency in 1952? That's the premise of this interesting alternative history novel where Adlai Stevenson has a heart attack at the Democratic National Convention and the best candidate left is Eleanor Roosevelt (with Sam Rayburn as her running mate). Gerber does a great job of recreating 1950s politics (there are almost too many explanations of who these people are, I'm sure intended for modern readers who have minimal knowledge of the real 1950s, rather than the Happy Days view of the era), and I found the subsequent campaigns and characters believable. My only two pauses: a silly "kiss with history" where Eleanor is introduced to a little girl named Hillary Rodham and a piece of narrative on the convention floor when "paramedics" go to Stevenson's side. The "paramedic" did not exist in the 1950s and it brings the narrative back to the present with a thump. Otherwise this is recommended.

I couldn't put the book down. It had everything. Romance, political intrigue...

I purchased the 18-month size onesies for my son when he was about 15 months old and around 24.5 lbs. He is tall but lean for his age, so I assumed he would fit nicely into these onesies that indicate they fit for babies between 24-28 lbs. I was disappointed to find that I could barely get them on him. Perhaps they fit poorly because of his height, but at the low end of the weight range, I would have thought these to have fit him nicely. I don't remember having this much of a problem with the smaller sizes that we previously had when he was younger (0-3 & 3-6), but who knows - that was when was a tired, delirious mother living my life in sleep-change-feed-change-feed cycles & probably wouldn't have noticed much outside of that rhythm.
Another irritating problem with the 18-month size is that the metal snaps began to separate from the fabric after the first post-use wash, and upon the next wash, a couple of them came off completely. We were very gentle with the snaps, but perhaps they were worn more quickly because of the poor/tight fit.
I would not recommend these, and will not buy them again (not even in a bigger size). I was too frustrated with the wasted purchase. What a shame, because the designs and colors are cute.

These are really great and convenient. They seem to run small to size though - my grandson is only 4 months and weighs within the recommended size and he is almost too big for them already.

I should know by now not to trust age sizing on baby clothes. It seems Gerber uses lower weight ranges when doing their age sizing than other products. I purchased the 18mo Gerber onsies. The package claims that they should fit a 24-28 lbs baby. I could barely get an unwashed onesie on my 26 lb 12mo old. If Gerber Onesies shrink as other reviewers claim, then both the age and weight labeling are overstated. At the very least Amazon and Gerber should list the weight range as well as the age sizing for their products.

I am not due yet but I have had a look at these onesies. They are really cute and the fabric is very soft - great quality at a reasonable price. I do not recommend using them in Winter as they are quite light, but in Winter I'd use long-sleeve onesies anyway. That's fine with me though as I am due in May.

I had never heard of Hudson Baby until I ran into them here, so I was really skeptical, but it is now my favorite baby brand!!
This set is a GREAT price, the clothes is so very soft, and the sizes range bigger than most brands, so you can go longer with one size! That is perfect for me, because my little boy is so tall, and he grows like a beanstalk!
I just wish that they had more clothes for 12 month and up!
This set is adorable. The hat was a little small for my baby, but he just has a big head! I love that the velcro for the bib is off to the side.
